Star Class (Age 3 by September)

Welcome to the Star Class!  We strive to create an environment where your child will learn to love school. We provide a caring environment where you and your child can feel comfortable knowing theyare safe while away from home. Our main focus is introducing and learning social skills that will help your child excel in the years to come. New friendships will be made as we introduce letters, numbers, shapes, and themes in fun and creative ways. We provide tailored opportunities and projects that allow all children to succeed at their own level.  Please stop by and visit us, we are looking forward to meeting you.

Our monthly snack schedule is available for download on our About page. Snack is the same for all classes.

Check out our school calendar for upcoming events and volunteer opportunities.

Star Class Handbook

Joanna Willman, Teacher

Little Acorn has been my home for several years.  Both my children have been students at Little Acorn. Between the three of us, I have been a part of every classroom at Little Acorn, either as a parent, substitute, or teacher.

Watching children learn and grow during the course of the year is why I decided to start a career in teaching.

My father was in the military and I spent most of my childhood traveling the world as he was assigned to different duty posts. After my husband, Matt, and I were married in 1998 we moved to Vancouver. I think that it is important for us to get to know the area where we live and a little about the world around us.  I feel privileged to have the opportunity to share what I know and learn from you and your child in the coming year.

I currently hold a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education.

When I am not working, I enjoy scrapbooking, playing games, spending time with my family, and taking my children to Starbucks.

I am looking forward to wonderful year!

Sarah Yaddof, Assistant Teacher

Hi, everyone! I'm Sarah Yaddof. This is my third year teaching at Little Acorn as an assistant teacher in the Star Class! I have been a substitute at Little Acorn since November of 2009.

I come from a family of 3 girls and I am the oldest. Igraduated from Clark College with my AAS. I am taking continuing education classes through out the school year to stay current with our emergent curriculum.

In my spare time I love to spend time with my friends and family, bake with my cousin, scrapbook, quilting, traveling, spending time outside, going camping and clam digging!

I'm really looking forward to my third year here at Little Acorn and getting to know all the wonderful families
