Office Support
Hello!
I have been a part of the Little Acorn Preschool family for the past 26 years.
After recently retiring from classroom teaching, I’m excited to continue supporting the school in my new role as teacher support and admin.
I support both campuses with school events, staff trainings, and various office and administrative tasks.
I’m grateful to continue being part of the Little Acorn community and look forward to supporting our teachers, children, and families in this new role!

Snack Coordinator
Hi, I’m Sarah, snack coordinator extraordinaire and anything else that is needed at Little Acorn.
I have been apart of Little Acorn in different capacities since I graduated High School in 2009.
I started out as a substitute teacher and from 2014-2021 I was an assistant teacher in both Star and Butterfly. I also coordinated snack during the time I was in the classroom.
I stepped away from teaching to become a stay-at-home Mom and raise our daughter. Fall of 2023 I was asked if I’d like to come back and coordinate and shop for snack again, it was an easy yes.
Personally, I have been married to my husband, Truman, for 5 years. We have our one daughter together who now attends Little Acorn and LOVES every minute of school. We have 1 cat and a pretty large flock of chickens and live on 10 acres in the country. We love to camp and go on a number of trips every year.
Seeing your kiddos smiling faces everyday brightens my day and I look forward to coming into “work” everyday.

Office support/Float Teacher
I am Teacher Lindsay, office admin, that Box Tops lady, and all around Little Acorn helper! I’m so excited to spend this year with you!
I have been working with children professionally in some form for over 19 years. I lived in South Korea for a year after college, teaching children ages 3-18; since then, the bulk of my time has been spent being involved with the preschool age group specifically. This will be my 13th year at Little Acorn in some form (I started as a parent, then board member, lead teacher, into my current role). I feel very fortunate to not only help your children grow, but learn from them as well.
Personally, I have been married to my husband, Ryan, for 16 years. We have 2 children together who are both Little Acorn alumni; Audrey, who is almost 15, and Oliver, who is 12. Our family loves to travel, and have been to London, Dublin, Tokyo, and Paris, just to name a few. We love learning about new cultures (and eating new foods!). Exotic locales aren’t the norm, for us, however. Usually our love of travel leads us on small trips to the beach or Seattle.
I am looking forward to a fun school year with you all!

School Support
Hi! My name is Raya Powers.
I started working here in 2024. My role is to assist teachers with prep work. I enjoy my position at Little Acorn because I love working with kiddos. It is an honor to watch them grow throughout the year.
When I am not working, I love to listen to music. I listen to many different genres but my favorites are electronic dance music, Christian, and country.
I am an animal lover. I volunteer at the humane society working with dogs. My family has 2 dogs, Bonnie and Buster. My hobbies include going for walks, riding bikes, Zumba, hiking, and hanging out with friends and family.
I’m looking forward to the new school year and I am excited to support the classrooms throughout the year.
