Bunny Burrow

WELCOME TO THE BUNNY BURROW!

In the Bunny Burrow classroom, we are literally laying the foundation of your child’s entire school experience. At Little Acorn we believe that a solid foundation is built with play!

We use an emergent curriculum and are “child-led” - which means that we follow the lead of the children and walk closely beside them while providing them with the opportunity to have experiences where they are learning through play.

Our environment and our curriculum creates curiosity that sparks natural interest and excitement for learning.

Meet the Teachers

  • LEAD TEACHER

I enjoyed teaching at Little Acorn Preschool for 5 years before becoming a stay-at-home mom.  But, now that my children are ready to leave the nest, I am excited to be back in the classroom to use what I’ve learned from being a mother to be an even better teacher.

I love going to the beach (especially tropical ones) and traveling with my husband, Luke, of 25 years.  I also like starting craft projects, cuddling with our little Maltipoo dog (named Lincoln), and spending time with friends and family.

  • ASSISTANT TEACHER

Hi! My name is Maria Lowery, and I’m so excited to be joining the team at Little Acorn’s Pines Campus this year. For the past eight years, I’ve had the incredible privilege of being a stay-at-home parent. With my youngest now starting kindergarten, I’m truly thankful for the opportunity to step into this warm environment and grow alongside the dedicated team here at Little Acorn.

This year, I’m looking forward to joining Misty in Bunny Burrow. I can’t wait to meet your families and be a part of this wonderful community.

On a personal note, my husband Jared and I have been together for 15 years, and we’re the proud parents of two daughters, E and Ari. We love life in the Pacific Northwest and enjoy spending time together outside, watching movies, reading books, eating yummy food, and filling our home with music. One value we hold close as a family — inspired by Grammy winner Harry Styles — is simple but powerful: Treat People With Kindness.
